TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1 | PRICES

The prices are exactly the same published inside our web-site and anyway the same written or tallen by ours when putting in a quotation. The indicated prices always should be intended per night and per room (hotel, guesthouses) – or whole accommodation if they deals with houses, villas, guesthouses, studios or apartments.


2 | BOOKING FEES

There are no fees for making your bookings online, the final price is exactly the same published inside our web-site.


3 | PAYMENTS

Once Meltemi Travel will send the written confirmation of the reservations requested the payments (the deposit and afterwards the balance) shall be done within the settled expiring date through either bank transfer or credit card (via paypal). The lack of the balance payment at stated dates is explicit decisive clause of contract breaking comprising the binding penalty payment reported later on at the section number 4.

A copy of the bank transfer should be sent once it has be done with its identification number through e-mail or fax at the number +39.055.23.96.976. Against the balance payment is done Meltemi Travel will issue the connected travel papers (flights tickets, ferries tickets, accommodations and facilities vouchers, etc. - and connected billing too).

ACCOMMODATIONS

Deposit: 30% at the time of reservation (but a different notification by ours when putting in a quotation – just a very few accomodations request a greater deposit) - In case of reservation made within 30 days before the departure date the balance will be immediately requested. Balance: within 30 days before the travel beginning.


4 | PENALTIES

ACCOMMODATIONS

In case of cancellation: within 60 days before the departure date penalty of 20%; between 59 days up to 31 days before the departure date penalty of 30%; between 30 days up to 16 days before the departure date penalty of 50%; between 15 days up to 7 days before the departure date penalty of 75%. No refund in case of cancellation within the last 6 days before the departure date.

FLIGHTS AND FERRIES

In case the passenger would renounce the trip international flights and ferries tickets are not refundable, as well as the domestic Greek ferries tickets – once they have been issued – are in no way changeable or refundable (including unfavourable maritime weather conditions, strikes, delaies, service cancellation by the maritime company itself).


5 | CHANGES AND VARIATIONS

Once the reservation has been confirmed by Meltemi Travel any changes that might be requested by the client – providing the new reservation can be confirmed – an extra charge of € 35 shall be paid (per file, not per person).

 
6 | GENERAL FACILITIES

ACCOMMODATIONS

Both photographies publication on our web-sites and those that might be sent you by e-mail afterwards are only by way of an example and as a rough guide of the individual accomodation but never feature each single bedroom, studio or apartment that will be assigned to the guest once he will be on the spot and that might be different from the photos held as examples. Meltemi Travel never assigns itself the single room or studio or apartment.

In the same way a few characteristics are guaranteed (for instance sea view or upper floor) if the price is actually different between the several solutions suggested, though only for that case. In case the prices are exactly the same for each solution of a single structure, Meltemi Travel - at the time of reservation - can forward recommendations on behalf of the client for particular needs but the above.mentionned recommendation remains a request and can never be guaranteed. In any case it’s up to the structure decision to satisfy the client request or not.


As for the accomodations characteristics (for instance sea view or air conditioning, etc.) Meltemi Travel faithfully sticks to what each structure specifics and advertises. Therefore Meltemi Travel will not be responsible for any sloppiness or lack of the structures themselves (for instance the air conditioning possible proper functioning or timetable in which the air conditioning is delivered). Furthermore we do not accept complaints if water, gas or light might lack temporarily.

We remind that check-in for rooms, apartments, houses, villas, etc. should be done at 2 p.m. – unless special exceptions – while check-out at the time of departure should be done within 10 a.m. Whoever stays in the apartments, studios and rooms shall only be whom has been actually booked. The guests number shall not exceed the maximum capacity indicated. In case the owner or the administrator would find a higher persons number than which is allowed he is entitled to ask the guests to leave the structure.

FLIGHTS AND FERRIES

In case of reservations including several services furthermore comprising flights and/or ferries/hydrofoils, Meltemi Travel in one’s capacity as an intermediary (indeed in such cases the agreement is settled directly between the passenger and the flight or maritime company) shall not be in any way responsible when the facilities cannot properly be carried out due to circumstances beyound its control – such as delaies or cancellations, strikes, technical or mechanical breakdowns, unfavourable weather or maritime conditions – that would avoid therefore other facilities booked previously to be employed. Meltemi Travel isn’t mainly responsible when such delaies or cancellations lead to lost connecting flights or ships and/or to the total or part loss of accommodations booked yet, and in this specific case additional accommodation reservations not expected won’t be refunded and will exclusively be charged to the client. Since such circumstances occuring are not Meltemi Travel responsability, refund or compensations possible requests shall be complained directly to the facilities providers that have created the inconveniences (airline companies, maritime companies).

In case the electronic ticket in your hands should be convert into a paper ticket please go and get it at the company port office within 2 hours before the ferry departure.

Please check carefully the informations transfered on voucher and tickets at time of their reception. Should there be any inaccuracies please tip off in order to remedy.


7 | CLAIMS

Any lack or carelessness shall be notify at once by the client and without delay in order to let Meltemi Travel or his local agent promptly remedy (we are open all August round). Otherwise none agreement non-fulfilment shall be contested. The client shall as well lodge a complaint against the promoter forwarding him a letter with advice of delivery – or risk forfeiture – within ten workdays from the return to the departure place and without further delay.


8 | PLACE OF JURISDICTION

Florence, Italy tribunal will be the unique place of jurisdiction for every kind of dispute.
